Moon Hill is a hill with a natural arch through it a few kilometers outside Yangshuo in southern China's Guangxi. It is so named for a wide, semicircular hole through the hill, all that remains of what was once a limestone cave formed in the phreatic zone. Like most formations in the region, it is karst.

Legend has it that there is a Guanghan Palace on the moon inhabited by the beauty Chang'e, the Jade Rabbit, and Wu Gang the woodcutter. People in olden days thought they saw these immortals when they came upon spots on the moon's surface. Visitors to Moon Hill call to each other's attention that there are nature formed rock images of Chang'e, the Jade Rabbit and Wu Gang the woodcutter. In reality, the Moon hill also offers some broad, panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, which is characterized by the knobby karst hills found throughout the region.
